Native Course Evaluation for Video-Based Learning

I developed a course evaluation for an instructor hosting a video-based course for new online learners. Concerned about her learners’ ability to navigate anything beyond video, she sought a way to evaluate course performance while ensuring easy data collection.

To meet these needs, I built an integrated course evaluation using the LMS authoring tool, allowing for administrative .csv downloads of results. By embedding the evaluation as a lesson activity within the course’s learning journey, learners encountered it in the same familiar format as their video-based lessons—without needing to leave the LMS or navigate an unfamiliar interface. This approach minimized learner confusion, increased completion rates, and provided the instructor with valuable, structured feedback to refine future courses.
