Instructional Design Consulting for Pathways Grantees

Tumbuh Global is delighted to partner with the Association of Theological Schools by offering individual instructional design consulting sessions for ATS-accredited schools either preparing a Pathways proposal or working on an already-funded Pathways project.

One-on-one sessions with Senior Educational Designer and E-Learning Developer Lindsay Andreolli-Comstock are available to a limited number of eligible ATS schools on a “first come, first served” basis.

Pathways projects conducted by ATS Member Schools bring transformative ideas to life. These initiatives are often extensive and collaborative, involving multiple stakeholders who contribute to the program’s development and success. The intricate work of educational design, however, typically falls to a key individual within the institution—an instructional designer—who is responsible for making learning more effective, efficient, and engaging for learners.

This role may go by different titles depending on your institution’s structure. In some cases, the instructional designer might be a program director, project manager, or, if the project is technology-driven, a Learning Management System (LMS) manager or Director of Online Learning. If the project is still in the development phase, the work may be shared among faculty members, with the Academic Dean or Dean of Faculty serving as the primary representative.

When determining who would benefit most from instructional design consulting, consider the individual responsible for:

  • Identifying learner needs

  • Defining program learning objectives

  • Structuring the program

  • Developing learner assessments

  • Designing learning experiences

  • Creating instructional materials

  • Implementing technology solutions

In our one-on-one session, we will work together to address any educational design challenges you are facing. You may want to explore assessing current course structures or the pedagogical approaches being implemented and how they meet the identified needs of your learners. We may discuss program design best practices, online tools and strategies to improve learner retention and engagement or how best to evaluate overall program effectiveness.
